Directing (3) - Timeline

For my timeline I decided to include the dates that weren't in the script. On each date, we wrote down what scene happened, who was involved in the scenes and how old they were. We also wrote down a brief synopsis of each scene, and therefore worked out what happened in the years that weren't mentioned in the script. By making this timeline, we also could work out when the children were born (however, we couldn't work out Sam's age, as there is no mention f his age at any point).

We made the timeline in date order with all the dates involved to ensure we understood their lives, but we then re-arranged the pages so they are in order of the actual show. We shall refer back to this timeline during our entire directing and creating process to help us understand when what character knows what.
