Audition Process:
  • Round 1:  Two contrasting songs from the musical theatre repertoire at no more than two minutes each. Bring sheet music in the correct key. Prepare one Shakespeare monologue and one contemporary monologue (after 1979) from published plays at no more than two minutes each. They must be performed in your own accent and the character must be your gender and close to your age. You will also take part in a dance class (involving warm-ups, stretches, corn work and a short routine).
  • Round 2:   There will then be a second round, but no information about this round is posted on the Mountview website. However, the second round for the postgraduate course involves performing their monologues and songs again, perform another given dance routine during the jazz workshop and then an interview with the head of the course.
Course - First & Second Year:
  • Regular classes in acting, acting through song, improvisation, movement, ensemble performance, sight reading, voice, music theory, singing, ballet, tap and jazz. 
  • Students take part in performances of published works as well as devising units.
Course - Third Year: 
  • Public performances
  • Showcases to agents, casting directors, other industry professionals and the general public
